CNA Training |
Language Enrichment Program |
The healthcare industry in Massachusetts is growing and it can provide stable jobs for people looking to join the field. As a high school graduate in Massachusetts, you can get a certification as a Nursing Assistant. A CNA training program in Massachusetts can be completed in a matter of weeks, and once completed and you successfully pass the required exam, you will be eligible to work in hospitals, nursing homes, and a wide range of other healthcare institutions.
Our CNA training program is culturally and linguistically appropriate for Hispanics in Massachusetts, focusing on helping you develop skills that are applicable to a wide range of healthcare environments. By doing so, you can build a foundation of knowledge and good habits before specializing or continuing with additional training. Currently, our CNA classes include instruction in CPR, First Aid, and AED usage, infection control, taking vital signs, range-of-motion exercises, delivering care and other important skills. In addition, our instructors can help you gracefully transition from student to employee – and help you understand what it takes to become a valuable member of any team. Our program also looks at maximizing your learning experience bilingually, allowing for a translation that will assist in preparation for the CNA exam. Health Care AdvocacyHealth Care Advocacy is considered one of the essential components to patient-centered health care. We pride ourselves on the knowledge of the health care system and patient rights. We provide on-going support for patients to help educate them on the available resources and paths to better care. The primary focus is to understand the patient’s needs and provide the information necessary for the patient to help him/her make the best decisions regarding their health and health care. This leads to increased patient satisfaction, better outcomes, and lower health care cost.

Nursing EducationAn improved education system must ensure that the nursing workforce reflects the diversity of the populations it serves. Through our nursing education program, we are referring to the formal learning and training in the science of a certified nursing assistant and nursing. This includes the functions and duties in the physical care of patients, and a combination of different disciplines that both accelerate the patient's return to health and help maintain it. According to the experts, “Major changes in the U.S. health care system and practice environment will require equally profound changes in the education of nurses. An improved education system is necessary to ensure that the current and future generations of nurses can deliver safe, quality, patient-centered care across all settings, especially in such areas as primary care and community and public health.”

Given the state of health care in our country. The private and public sector need to come together to address the disparities in health care. More support towards culturally and linguistically appropriate training, needs to be implemented. -Gilberto Amador, M.Ed., Ed.S.
